StoryBundle is featuring a bundle for writers this month, with 11 ebooks on the process and business of fiction writing. You can check out the “Write Stuff” offer at https://storybundle.com/writing.
The deal is that for a contribution of at least $15, you can download the books in any format that works for you. You also get a 40% discount coupon for the Jutoh editor/ ebook creator. The program regularly sells for $39. I’ve been wanting to try Jutoh, which is produced by a small software company in Edinburgh, UK. (The program’s title is derived from the first names of its creators, and is pronounced “Joo-toe.”) I liked the idea of getting the full program at a discount, and also giving some support to my fellow writers.
I have other tools for formatting ebooks (notably Scrivener), but Jutoh looks like a relatively easy solution, designed specifically for ebook creation. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. According to the FAQ, Jutoh “is suitable for creating ebooks for books with relatively simple formatting requirements. So, it’s great for novels, self-improvement books, biographies, and so on. . . . ” The licensing allows you to install and use the program on more than one computer, even on computers with different operating systems.
This isn’t a review or a recommendation, just an alert to anyone who might be interested in Jutoh and/or the writing books. I have no commercial interest the offer. The “Write Stuff” bundle is available for another 22 days.
